Rob is the founder and CEO of the Riverside Energy Group, Michigan’s largest natural gas producer and a leader in carbon capture and storage (CCS) in the United States.
Riverside produces over 50% of Michigan’s local natural gas supply and is the first company in the State to perform permanent geological sequestration of CO2. After acquiring Chevron’s Michigan assets in 2016, Riverside acquired a further 9 oil and gas companies’ assets to consolidate over 60% of the Antrim Shale. This enabled cost reductions and productivity improvements that have breathed additional economic life into Michigan’s primary natural gas producing formation and also laid the foundation for permanent geological sequestration of the CO2 that exists in Antrim Shale gas.
Rob is passionate about developing the natural resources of Northern Michigan in a way that is a blessing to local communities, that spurs local economic development and that leaves a positive mark on our rich natural heritage and the environment.
Rob has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s degree in chemical engineering and is a CFA charterholder.
